EXPERIENCE THE JOURNEY

STUDENT

Being a student is first, that is why it is called student-athlete not athlete-student. Being a college student-athlete is about more than just sports, it is also about getting an education that will set you up for success for life. G6:9 Foundation will help families identify potential colleges and the best one from the choices available to each candidate.

The NCAA believe success in the classroom is just as important as winning on the field and have set standards to ensure student-athletes make progress toward a degree – every year and every season. Student-Athletes need to meet these standards to be eligible to play.

Just like the NCAA, we want all the disadvantaged youth we help to be successful and we keep a close eye on each student athlete to ensure they are performing to the highest standard in the classroom.

ATHLETE

Our goal is to make sure that every talented underprivileged teenager we help maximise the opportunities given. We want them to be the best in class and the best on the field so they can have a bright future.

You need to be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center to compete at an NCAA Division I or II school. The NCAA Eligibility Center will determine your academic eligibility and amateurism status for all DI and DII student-athletes.

The most important thing to understand as a prospective student-athlete is that the NCAA is there to determine your eligibility, not to provide guidance on how to get or maintain your college eligibility. G6:9 Foundation will help with this process to make sure prospective student-athlete understands the academic and amateurism requirement.
